826 Sioux Falls Soul Control

Content: Where is Sioux Falls? I’ll tell you, I didn’t know until this 826 branding project. This project consisted of designing a complete brand system based upon a random city. This project brought an array of different platforms to work with, from stationary to storefronts. The mission of 826 Sioux Falls Soul Control is to educate the city on the masking of native mistreatment & allow their souls to rest in serenity. It was important for me to respect native american culture, rather than try and appropriate it. I made sure to speak beside them, rather than for them.
Process: The 826 project involved a lot or iterating and making. It was a constant juggle of multiple large files and applying the refined brand assets created. This was the project that made me realize I really enjoyed doing a lot of research and creating the brand’s assets.
Takeaways: This project helped me understand how much work truly goes into brand identities and creating assets of a brand. I discovered is that I enjoy the branding process, despite the long iteration and development stages, I find passion in creating a brand’s identity.
