About Me — a.terrydesign

My name is Alyssa Terry, I’m a Communication Designer based in the beautiful & historic North End of Detroit, MI. I have a Honors Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from the College of Creative Studies. Within those four years, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the dynamic world of design & marketing. I had the opportunity to collaborate with different businesses and nonprofits, working hands-on to tackle projects spanning brand identity, motion graphics, print collateral & user experience design. This experience not only honed my skill set- but also instilled a deep urge within me to make a meaningful impact in the messages of the work I create.

Post-graduation, I contracted with my former professor from CCS at his company, Good Done Daily. Within a team, we worked hard on an exciting book project, infusing it with our collective passion for creativity and impact. Currently, I am working as a graphic designer & office assistant for Germack Roasting Co. & Germack Pistatchio Co. Aside from my technical skills, I bring a unique blend of creativity and mindfulness to everything I do. Whether I’m sketching out ideas, creating mood boards, or refining branding identities, I approach each project with intention and consciousness.

My end goal is stability—a full-time remote position in the design & marketing industry where I can continue to push boundaries and make a positive impact. Working & communicating within a remote environment while maintaining a sense of community among my co-workers is what I do best. In my free time you can find me listening to music, playing Sims 4 or Animal Crossing, and taking pictures of my cat for her Instagram ︎. Music is an essential part of my creatve process because it helps me get the in the groove and aids in my focus on the project at hand.
